In an age where the traffic in Northern Virginia has become a challenge at the best of times, people just want to stay home and turn to their computers. The NVRC website needs to be more engaging, intuitive and far-reaching.

Unique Circumstances

The project timeline was short, allowing for only two weeks of preparation followed by an intensive 24-hour sprint. Throughout this period, we managed to perform a heuristic evaluation, conduct a survey and interviews with community members, supported by an ASL interpreter.

Process

Our primary goal was to create a more welcoming homepage and resolve issues related to confusing navigation and information architecture. While the organization wanted to retain its existing branding, we enpanded it to better represent their diverse offerings and community member types.
